CAE Inc signs multiple deals at Paris Air Show worth about 85

PARIS — CAE Inc. (TSX:CAE) has signed a series of aviation training contracts and flight simulator sales at the Paris Air Show worth about $85 million with such carries as Japan Airlines, Air India and Ethiopian Airlines.The Montreal-based company says the agreements cover airline pilot and cabin crew training as well as the sale of four full-flight simulators.CAE signed five-year contracts to provide pilot training at Ethiopian Airlines and JetSMART in South American and agreed to similar deals with MHS Aviation in Europe and undisclosed carriers in Europe and Asia.The company also signed contracts to sell four or its full-flight simulators to Air India, Japan Airlines and undisclosed customers in North America.CAE currently has more than 8,500 employees and training sites in more than 35 countries and says it trains more than 120,000 people in the aviation and health care sectors each year.
